The Imperial Hong Kong

For USD 131, I expected better than this. The hotel felt very old and worn, with poor upkeep and cleanliness far below an acceptable standard. There was hair on the floor and dust all over the room, including a ventilation fan heavily coated in dust. It was extremely disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend a stay here. It shouldn’t have any star rating.

The location is convenient, but after this stay at Imperial Hotel Hong Kong, we wouldn’t return. As soon as we entered, there was an overwhelming musty smell that we personally thought was like mold!!!! We bought air freshener just to get through the night, and slept wearing facemasks, my goodness. The whole experience was stressful and honestly quite traumatic, especially when we’d expected at least a clean, comfortable room.

The room was extremely dirty, old, and creepy. Air didn’t seem to circulate properly, and there was a musty smell. It felt unsafe and definitely unhealthy. The location is the one good thing, but trust me, don’t stay here if you don’t want your trip to become a bad experience you remember for a long time.

I paid around 800 HKD per night and got a moldy, dark, dirty room that smelled awful. The toilet floor hadn’t been cleaned, water dripped from the bathroom ceiling, and there wasn’t even a rubbish bag in the bin. Completely disgusting and unacceptable. The service was terrible too. I had to contact reception every day for basic cleaning, like changing towels and taking out the rubbish, and even then no one came. Dealing with reception was exhausting: the staff were rude, indifferent, unhelpful, and unprofessional. They clearly didn’t care. Not recommended.
