Prainha Resort by The Sea

We spent 4 nights in a sea-facing room, and the view was breathtaking, a lovely way to unwind and enjoy peaceful sunsets. The resort sits right by the Arabian Sea, with a well-kept private beach, and the atmosphere is serene and relaxing. Rooms were clean and well maintained, and the friendly, welcoming staff were always ready to help. Dona Paula is about 5 km from Panjim, so nearby sights are convenient to reach while the area still feels calm and less crowded. A couple of drawbacks: the door locks feel outdated and could use modern card access. The food menu is somewhat limited, though the hygiene and quality were good. I’d recommend booking directly through the official website or by phone for a better experience, rather than using third-party apps like . I’d highly recommend the resort for a peaceful, scenic Goa getaway.

For our wedding of about 80 guests, Prainha turned out to be the perfect location and space. Our guests were impressed and comfortable, and we were so glad we chose it. The rooms and outdoor areas were clean and well maintained. From what I saw, the beach was cleaned every day too. The chefs, servers and rest of the staff were friendly and helpful, quickly finding solutions whenever anything came up. The fish dishes were delicious and freshly made. So many good things to say. We brought our 3-month-old baby and wanted somewhere near the CBD where we could still enjoy the Goan feel. Prainha is right by a private beach, with privacy, beautiful views and a place to relax between the buzz. You get the best sunset view right from the balcony, though Dona Paula sunset point is close enough to walk to. North Goa party spots are a short drive away, and nearby shops sell drinks even at 1 am. Swiggy deliveries work all night too. The rooms are old, but kept pristinely clean and retain their old charm. It felt like being in Santorini, not in a corporate hotel of four walls. Food was great, and breakfast is served in a lovely beach-facing setup, a bit like a premium shack. There’s ample safe parking, and the reception team are very helpful. The place has everything in one spot and left us with lifelong memories. Please book without a second thought.

The welcome was warm and the service kind. This simple little resort is quiet and close to Panjim’s jetty, and it worked well for a short stay. It’s not a five-star place, and anyone staying longer should plan ahead and bring an iron and other basics, since some things aren’t provided. Honest, pleasant comfort, with room to improve.
