Breakfast was decent and included, and the room itself was roomy and pleasant. Still, the price felt high for what we got compared with the other hotels on our trip. The owner was nice, but I wouldn't recommend this place if clean bathrooms matter to you. The toilet had stains and smelled bad, and the shower looked like it might have mold or stains, so we chose not to use it. Since it's family-run, there was no service after 7 pm, and the main entrance stayed open all night.

Paulina was incredibly thoughtful. We had to leave at 6am after just one night, before breakfast opened at 7, so she packed food for us the evening before to take along. There was plenty, and she really went out of her way for us. I'd recommend staying here.

I’d put this among the two best places we stayed on our trip. The staff were friendly, and breakfast was good too. Hotels in Iceland cost a lot, though, so it helps to keep your expectations in check.

We had a spacious, comfortable room with a spot right outside where we could park, which made getting our bags in and out easy. The hotel sits well back from the main highway, so despite being right by it, we didn't hear traffic. Our host was very friendly, and breakfast was great. The dining area was nicely arranged, with a cozy living room nearby for TV and board games.

We slept so well, and our room looked out over a gorgeous stretch of ocean and countryside. The family running the hotel were lovely and accommodating, and the rooms were beautiful, with thoughtful design. Even though the hotel was full during our stay, we barely heard a thing. The breakfast area felt like a comfortable, lovely home. It's close to the town of Vik, which made a great base for exploring the area, and a relaxing place to recharge.
