We didn’t stay here. Before we arrived, I was clearly told there was free private parking, but there wasn’t. When we asked for a refund, the hotel refused, saying staff couldn’t speak English well enough. We looked at the room: it was tiny, with pipes sticking out all over, and the photos had done a great job of making it look better. It didn’t seem clean, though we weren’t there long enough to be sure. We went to an Airbnb instead. It cost more, even counting paid parking in the city center, but I don’t care about a few pounds when I feel I’ve been lied to. It was a horrible experience in one of Europe’s most beautiful cities. I strongly advise against staying here.

We stayed in a refurbished two-bedroom apartment in March. It was clean, modern, and warm. The Central Market was about five minutes away and the attractions around ten. Great location, and we’d come back.

Good value for Florence, in a very convenient spot. The room was comfortable enough, the beds were comfortable, and I slept well. The staff were helpful and flexible, especially the guy working there. Easygoing, too.

The walls left white chalk all over my bags and jacket when they touched them, and it was hard to get off. The shared shower is on the first floor, and the bathroom door doesn’t lock. They use a pumping system, so it can smell while you’re showering. I had a bad experience with the host. He couldn’t speak English and kept talking in Italian, so we had to guess what he meant.
