The apartment was really clean, and the landlady was polite and helpful. Everything else was spot on, so I was somewhat happy overall, but the noise took away two stars. You’ll have a hard time sleeping without earplugs. There’s no soundproofing on the door. Empty glass bottles being thrown into the bin outside can startle you, and the neighbours run along the corridor with kids yelling and someone loudly going “HUUUSSsshhhhh”. The fridge is small, and its compressor seems to kick in about every ten minutes.

The location was just right, and the apartment was spotless and tidy. Check-in was really straightforward, and the owner was so friendly ❤️

It’s right beside the river, with shops and restaurants close by, yet the place stays really quiet. Hard to imagine a better spot.

There’s plenty of room, and the place is set up with a kitchen, washing machine, coffee maker, and lots of other equipment. The canal is only a few steps away, with bars all around. We could enjoy an evening aperitif out in the sun on the terrace, and Porte de Genova metro station isn’t far either.

Vicolo dei Lavandai has so much charm, and being right by the Navigli canals in Milan’s historic area made getting around easy. The price was good for what we got.
