notaMi - Casagrande 1920

For a work trip, I booked a small room at Hotel Capitol, just a short walk from my workplace. It was quiet and peaceful, with a window for fresh air, and the Wi-Fi 6 connection worked flawlessly for both work and streaming. The room was cleaned every day and kept in good order. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The breakfast area gentleman deserves a special mention for going out of his way to help guests and make mornings welcoming. When I had a small problem with the trouser press, reception sent someone promptly, and they fixed it professionally. Breakfast was delicious. I was very happy with my stay and can't think of a downside.

The hotel has an old-world look, but it's been updated while keeping its historic charm. The staff are friendly and helpful, and breakfast is good. You're within walking distance of plenty of restaurants and tourist sites. The restaurant opens for dinner at 7:30pm.

The main thing I'd like to see improved is the breakfast quality. Otherwise, it was a good stay: I slept well, and although my single room was smaller than I expected, the space was laid out well. The room was well maintained, with equipment thoughtfully installed and provided. The hotel also seems to have a long history.

I was lucky enough to get upgraded to a suite, though my colleague didn't get the same luck. The room was good and clean, the service was very good, and breakfast was really tasty, especially the homemade baking. It was a nice stay.
