The location near Milano Centrale was the one clear positive, making it convenient to get around. The apartment was a decent size and had nearly all the basic amenities, but the lighting was so poor that the space felt dull and uncomfortable, especially in the evening. The bed was the main problem. The mattress was the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept on. It sat on just three wooden planks, with almost no support, so it visibly curved and made it hard to rest. Customer support was disappointing as well. You’re directed to a virtual chatbot with fixed, generic answers that don’t help with real problems. Overall, a very mediocre stay, somewhere between average and below average. Apart from the location, little stood out in a good way.

Our child suddenly became ill, so unfortunately we couldn’t make it. The company was wonderful about it, understanding and supportive, and offered a great solution right away. Truly excellent service. Highly recommended.

The bathroom was modern and spotless, and getting to the station or walking into the center was easy. But the room felt like a dungeon, with no interior design to speak of. There’s no reception or any extras like breakfast, a bar, taxis, maps, or advice. Apparently that’s how all Numa stays work. Coming from Zurich, where I’m used to high prices, I still found this absurd. Even at a 50% rate, EUR 160/night wasn’t close to worth it. On Monday around 4am, someone was moving furniture or something in the courtyard. Also, hot water takes about 3-5 minutes, so be patient.

At Numa Loreto, I found hair under the pillow, a very noisy A/C, and a bed that looked like a bed in the photos but was the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept on. The mattress rested on three pieces of wood. Both rooms we were given had black mould in the shower. There’s no wheelchair access, and it wouldn’t suit families with a stroller. I also felt the area was unsafe, with poor lighting and an entrance that was hard to spot even in daylight. For your own sake, stay away. The room didn’t match the online photos, and calling this a 4-star hotel when it felt like a 2-star motel says a lot about the gap between the marketing and reality. Customer support was slow, inefficient, and unhelpful. Management seemed to avoid accountability, and issues got excuses instead of solutions. There’s nobody from the hotel staff on site, so if something goes wrong, you’re basically on your own. The 24/7 WhatsApp chat can mean spending hours talking to a bot. I’d avoid the Numa brand and its “digital-first experience” altogether. If you want to read about how the team handled another stay, see my detailed review of Numa Camperio.

The digital check-in was easy, and the kitchenette had everything I needed. Numa loreto felt clean and fresh, with modern, stylish interiors and the comfort of a boutique apartment that could work for a short or longer stay. It’s close to metro stations, cafés, and major sights, but still quiet enough to sleep well. I did notice a couple of small quirks with the shower fixtures and temperature control, though they didn’t get in the way of an otherwise smooth stay. I’d recommend it to travelers who like comfort, style, and independence.
