Modern BnB

The host was easy to reach on WhatsApp and very helpful with information about Rome and places to visit. The room was spacious and clean, which matters a lot to me, and the staff cleaned it daily. I picked Modern BnB for its location, near the Vatican Museum, other attractions and the metro, about a four-minute walk away. I'd stay here again if I return to Rome.

The location is just a stone's throw from The Vatican and about a five-minute walk from Cipro Metro Station. There are stairs at the metro and on the way up to the property, so be ready to carry your luggage. ModernBnb is on the third floor of Building A inside the compound. After the climb, a welcome drink would have been nice. The back street has plenty of cafes and restaurants away from the tourist crowd. I recommend Cafe Candia just below the stairs for its amazing coffee, and the nearest grocery store is Conad City. The building has been renovated and has an old-style lift, while the room itself has a sleek modern design. It was spacious, neat and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. A few manageable drawbacks: you'll need mobile data to contact the person in charge at check-in, since getting through the gate and main door isn't easy. You get four different keys to access the vicinity. If a neighbor comes in late, the locks and banging wooden doors may wake you. ModernBnB is still a highly commendable place for a decent, relaxing stay, with helpful, hardworking staff.

We spent four days in Rome and could get around to all the main sights, with time left for walks. The BnB is close to both the Vatican and a metro station. Staff were very friendly, and our room was clean and comfortable.

The location made getting around easy, with Ottaviano metro station nearby and the Vatican Museums entrance less than a five-minute walk away. I felt really comfortable here, and the room was clean, modern, and nice.
