Target Inn Rome

We stayed four nights and were shifted between three rooms because the air conditioning problems weren’t fixed. Management didn’t apologize for the disruption. The WiFi kept cutting out, and one room had a strong chemical smell. The manager was only reachable through WhatsApp, and communication with them was unpleasant, though the housekeeping staff were kind. Street noise at night, constant interruptions, and poorly maintained facilities meant we didn’t rest properly and lost valuable time during the day. It was exhausting and the worst stay we’ve had. Definitely not worth the time or money.

The location is great, and the rooms have enough space for two. I especially liked the high ceilings. Bathrooms are clean and get cleaned every day. The window curtains could use a refresh, though. Washing them at least twice a year would make the rooms feel fresher.

We only stayed a few hours while waiting to catch a train. The station is about a 7-8 minute walk away. Watch your head at the entrance gate, it’s extremely low. The room was clean and tidy, but there was no one at reception when we arrived around 7 p.m. and no service. The minibar was empty and had small flies in it. There were 2-3 tea bags. Kids were running and shouting in the hallway, which was a bit annoying, but they stopped after a while.

A nice hotel with clean rooms and bathrooms, helpful staff, and a very good central location close to transport. The price felt fair for what the hotel offers. I’d definitely come back. The only reason I held back the last star was the booking and arrival coordination. If you don’t provide a phone number, getting in can be difficult, especially at night. The hotel is inside a locked building, and you need entry codes that are sent by phone. Reception staff work part-time and aren’t always there. We only got in because some residents happened to open the outer door. The phone number in the email was wrong, and I found the updated number on the reception’s inside door.
