Al Redentore di Venezia Apartments

It was nice staying away from Venice's busy areas, with a water view and ferries passing by. The ferry stop is just a 2 minute walk away, and there's a restaurant nearby open until 11pm plus a small convenience store. The apartment was spacious and comfortable. It also had a washing machine and a handy pantry with a fridge.

I loved that this clean, beautiful apartment is off the main island. The phone-based door key was a unique feature and worked perfectly. Just make sure to check in at least a couple of hours ahead, preferably a day in advance, and you'll be all set.

Getting around Venice is easy once you get the hang of the water buses, and there’s a really good app to help. A good place to stay.

The canal view turned out to be toward the canal of Giudecca Island, rather than the main island we’d hoped to see, which was a little disappointing. Still, we had a pleasant stay. The room was roomy, comfortable, clean, and tidy, and the sofa bed was large when opened. We did hesitate to use the washing machine because its filter was quite dirty, though, and hope that gets improved. We booked through Booking.com rather than the property’s website, so we never got an email asking for passport and credit card details. On arrival, we didn’t know how to open the main door. Two staff members helped us, but for any problems that need sorting out, you have to use the phone at reception to call. Those staff seemed mainly occupied with maintenance and cleaning.
