The location worked really well, with the water bus station and center close by, and most things nearby. The flat was clean and nice, but it didn't look like the pictures at all. It's on the 4th floor, which was pretty stressful after a long day walking around Venice with my 2 year old daughter. One side window gives you a canal view, but it's not impressive, and taking photos there feels risky since you could drop your camera and never get it back. The other windows look onto neighboring rooftops. For a 4 night stay, 470 euros felt kind of expensive, especially since you can get a flat in Venice for a month for that amount. The location deserves 3 stars, but the place was far from what I expected.

Pierluigi rents out the Maryloft, though he lives in Rome and a local person manages the apartment. I took off a point because I would have liked faster, better communication before and during the trip. Still, I'd highly recommend it. We were three people staying in May, and the apartment was spacious, quiet, nicely furnished, and fully equipped for anyone who likes cooking. It's well located in northern Venice. Venice is always worth visiting, and I'd happily go back again and again.
