Palazzo Dei Guardiani

The Dorsoduro sestiere made our stay more enjoyable, with excellent restaurant choices and fewer crowds than in other districts. The train station and transport hub at Piazzale Roma were conveniently close, too. We loved our clean, comfortable and beautiful apartment at Palazzo Dei Guardiani. The concierge at Piazzo Dei Guardiani was very helpful with information, tips and assistance. We were very impressed and would love to stay there again someday.

Andrea, the concierge, made us feel welcome and offered great ideas for dinner and things to do. He even made our restaurant reservations. We stayed in a lovely apartment for three, at a very reasonable price. The location was great, close to the train and bus terminal and within walking distance of everything. This place is awesome. Highly recommend!

The staff at reception were friendly and very helpful. They recommended restaurants, arranged trips to the glass factory on Murano, kept our bags for a few hours after checkout, and quickly sorted out a broken door handle. The entrance took some effort to find, and the door unlocking system needed a little getting used to, but neither affected our stay much. We were in a first-floor apartment with enough room for two adults and two teenage kids, though a few more places to store the kids’ clothes would have helped. The rooms were clean and well equipped, with modern bathrooms and small but adequate kitchens. It’s a calm neighbourhood with a couple of small supermarkets and a pharmacy nearby. There are also nice restaurants and bars a short distance away in Dorsoduro. The train station and valporetta services are about a 10-minute walk away. We stayed here in November 2025, and found it a very comfortable option for a self-catering, modern aparthotel in a quiet part of Venice.

Getting here with luggage was easy since the hotel is close to both the train and bus stations, yet the neighborhood itself is quiet. We also had lovely staff. Inside, the bathroom was spotless, the bedroom was separate, and the bed was huge with plenty of space for our bags. The room had excellent laundry facilities, plus roomy kitchen and lounge areas where we could relax and eat. It was perfect for us.
