Hotel Tintoretto

The decor could do with an update, but for what we needed, the stay was amazing. It’s a lovely hotel with some nice, accommodating facilities, friendly staff, a nice breakfast, a good shower, and a great location.

It was easy to walk from Hotel Tintoretto to both the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square, and the surrounding area was quiet enough for a peaceful night. Our room was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. Breakfast had a good range of continental options, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful, with useful tips for exploring Venice. We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting.

The staff were superb, the location was good, and the historic building has charming original details. It was clean, the wifi was good, and the deluxe suite and common room open onto narrow balconies overlooking a canal. The common room is beautifully decorated with antique furniture and modern amateur art. Our suite also had a lot of downsides. Soundproofing was poor, with noise from outside and inside. The decor was basic and cheap, with no glassware or crockery, just paper and plastic cups, plus a plastic kettle and plastic waste bins. There was no fridge or safe. The wardrobe was small with too few coat hangers, and there was no full-length mirror or small occasional table. Instead of comfortable seating, there were pull-out sofa beds. There’s no lift, and the night curtains don’t cover the full width of the windows. The futon-style single bed bases slid apart overnight, and the mattress was thin.

We were given a room upgrade when we arrived, to one with a lovely canal view. It was spotlessly clean, and the staff were pleasant and welcoming. A perfect stay, and I’d definitely come back. Highly recommend this hotel.
