So Kyoto Fushimi Inari

The room was big and clean, and the beds were comfortable. It's near Fushimi Inari Shrine and two stations, though noise from the railway tracks and the hard-to-find location made me rate that part four stars. This is a self-service hotel, so check-in took a while to figure out, but it was easy enough. We were glad to get laundry done, and there were plenty of amenities for our stay. I didn't see an elevator, so carrying luggage up the stairs is a hassle if you have a lot. For those traveling light, that's less of an issue. I'd come back.

We loved the bathroom, especially the ofuro, which we used, and the water pressure was amazing. The beds were very comfortable, the room had enough space for about three suitcases along the sides, and there were lots of amenities, including Muji products. Having our own washer and dryer with tide pods for each night was a lifesaver. There's also a nice restaurant downstairs that serves food until late. The neighborhood was beautiful and quiet, about a five-minute walk from the train station and fairly close to Fushimi Inari. There wasn't much space under the beds, though. There was no check-in desk, which made sense given the building's architecture, but we had very large suitcases that we couldn't forward to the hotel. Being on the top floor wasn't ideal with my pregnant sister. If you don't get a code by email, you can still check yourself in. I'd definitely come back on my next Japan trip.

Lawson is just a three-minute walk away, and transit is easy to reach. Fushimi Inari is super close. I got up at 6 and walked all the way up the shrine, and had it to myself since other tourists can't get there until the first train.

The room was very clean and spacious, with a private bathroom and shower, AC and heating, and lots of amenities. There was a washer and dryer, though the dryer wasn't very good. I missed having somewhere to hang a wet towel or jackets, and there was only one bench for luggage and a very small closet. The place was peaceful, with a small cafe downstairs. It's a great spot near Senbon Tori if you want to get up early before the big crowds, and very close to the metro line into downtown.
