A good place to stay while hiking. The beds are very hard, though, and the bath and toilet could use a little attention.

The manager was very friendly, and the location is really good. I feel very comfortable here. Arigato Gosaimas ;-)

I stayed here after hiking the route from Yodogawa Hut via Mount Miyanoura to Arakawa. The kind landlady and the owner also run the place next door, 「Ebisu Daikokuya Toshi(Delicious)」. The photos I posted are of that izakaya. It was really helpful to have a washing machine and hangers at the inn after hiking.

For three nights in June 2024, I paid 3,500 yen per night without meals. The place was clean and had Wi-Fi, and it also operates as an izakaya. Search YouTube for “Namiyoshi Channel Yakushima Minshuku Toshi” to see videos of the inn’s atmosphere and food. Have a look on YouTube 😆

Toshi-san and his wife, the owners, were so kind and refined. They were the best people I met on Yakushima. The izakaya Toshi-san next to the inn is delicious and really good, so if you stay here, be sure to have dinner there ♡
