The staff were very helpful, and the included breakfast was a standard continental spread with some hot options. The rooms were clean and fairly spacious, and worked well for a hotel where you’re mostly there to sleep. I’d ask for a second pillow, though, because you’ll need it. Just us is a great base for exploring Riga. You’re in the middle of the old town, and most things are only a 5-10 minute walk away. I’d highly recommend staying here.

The staff were friendly, the hotel was comfortable, and it’s in a convenient spot. The building is very old but still delivers on comfort, and their suggestions for places to eat and visit were really good. I’ll definitely come back and stay here again.

Once we finally got into a room, the rest of our stay was okay. But the hotel’s customer support was appalling, 0/5 stars. We had booked and paid for a superior room about three months ahead, then were told at arrival that there was no booking. We were asked to wait while they sorted it out, and ended up waiting 90 minutes, annoyed and without any updates from staff. I had to ask every 15 minutes whether they were even working on the mistake. No compensation was offered, and we bought refreshments from a nearby store while we waited. When I arrived, I asked if they were fully booked and was told yes. After Hotels.com staff called the hotel, a junior suite somehow became available, and we were upgraded to it.

The room was clean, and the location is excellent, right in Riga’s Old Town. On the second night there was no hot water. The issue was mentioned at check-in, and I was offered the sauna shower instead, but after waiting two hours I was told the water there was cold too. The evening receptionist was kind and did try to help, which I appreciated, but nothing was fixed. In the morning I asked for a partial refund or discount and was told all of Riga had no hot water. I later checked with a nearby hotel and confirmed that wasn’t true. I also emailed after my stay, but they still offered no compensation for losing such a basic service. The way it was handled, especially the misleading explanation and refusal to compensate, left me quite disappointed.
