Dar Anebar

It’s a comfortable, family oriented place, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The stairs up to the rooms are steep, but staff handled our luggage throughout the visit. We enjoyed the lentil soup with its assortment of little sides, and sparkling water is available. The shower head is on a hose, but the wall hook didn’t hold it, so it kept pointing close to the wall. Nothing is close to the hotel, though you can walk to downtown Old Fez. Keep in mind that most of Fez shuts down on Fridays, including the leather workshops. The power is 220v, 50hz, with two round prongs.

The rooms look just like the photos, maybe even better in person. They’re cute, very clean, warm, and the beds were really comfortable. The employees were friendly and helped us with everything we needed. Breakfast was tasty and generous, and on our early departure day they kindly packed it to go so we wouldn’t miss out. Good value for money, and an excellent riad in the Medina of fez.

After a day exploring, it was lovely to return to such a quiet, peaceful room. The rooftop view over Fes was impressive, and the room itself was stunning and unique. We arrived late at night, and the staff met us at the car to carry our bags. They welcomed us with tea and biscuits, made a delicious breakfast, and even ironed our linens without hesitation. They were incredibly kind and went above and beyond. The riad is right inside the Medina, within walking distance of all the sights. For a memorable stay in Fes, Dar Anebar is hard to beat.

I spent six days travelling around Morroco, and this was my favourite Riad. It can be a little tricky to find, but it’s absolutely stunning. The staff are amazing and super accommodating, and the room was gorgeous. One of my favourite views from Morroco was from the rooftop.
