Riad Imilchil

The staff were friendly, and the rooms stayed cool and dark, but I don't understand the five-star rating. Three stars at most. The pictures look much better than the place in reality. The pool isn't really a pool, and although the bathroom is large, it's poorly laid out: the shower is poor and the toilet is squeezed into a small corner. Our room and bedsheets weren't really clean, and it was quite noisy. Breakfast wasn't the best either.

Ayoub was a great host and made our stay both enjoyable and interesting. We especially liked relaxing on the rooftop. The hotel is only a short walk from the Souks, and we absolutely loved staying here. I'd highly recommend it.

Ayoub was especially friendly and attentive, making sure we were comfortable and trying to meet our needs. When he learned about my gluten allergy, he brought gluten-free bread and cake for breakfast the next morning. He also helped with taxis and tours. The service was excellent. The hotel is in the middle of the medina, with the larger squares within walking distance. Our room was spacious and very clean. It was a little cold and not very well insulated against noise, though. We recommend Riad Imilchil to anyone visiting marrakech.

We made a last-minute booking, and Ayoub, Ishmael, and Mohammad were incredibly helpful. Their hospitality went above and beyond: they helped us arrange activities and dining, and even walked with us to the square. They speak so many languages, which was impressive. They were kind and clearly wanted to connect with us. If you want a safe place with welcoming hosts, Riad Imilchil is a great choice.
