Riad Sapphire and Spa

Abdo and Driss made our first trip to Morocco feel special from the time we landed until the end. They arranged a car pickup, met us at the taxi point, and guided us through Marrakesh's maze of streets to the peaceful, beautiful riad. We were welcomed with Moroccan tea and an introduction to the place, our stay, and the neighborhood. We stayed in the Cinnabar room, a junior suite spacious enough for three. It was comfortable, with daily housekeeping, air conditioning, and complimentary beauty products. The incense smelled great and added to the calm atmosphere. On our first night, we ate on the rooftop. The veggie, meat, and cheese Briouattes were tasty and fun, and the fish Tagine had rich olive and tomato flavors. Breakfast in the courtyard was simple but delicious: tea or coffee, bread, fruit, yogurt, and orange juice. For early tour starts, they prepared a healthy takeaway breakfast for us. On our last night, we tried the Hammam package. If you've had a Korean spa scrub, it was like a gentler version in a heated, wet sauna. The hammam woman was very thorough, and afterwards we had a full body clay mask and a massage that was neither painfully hard like the one I had in Taiwan nor too light. I especially appreciated the attention to my legs, which often get less treatment than shoulders in massages. The oil massage left me completely relaxed and soft, sipping Moroccan mint tea by the fountain in the courtyard. The whole team was kind and attentive. I'd highly recommend Riad Sapphire & Spa for a stay in the Old City of Marrakesh.

Abdo and Driss looked after us from the moment we got off the plane, taking care of everything we needed with such kindness. The location and organization were perfect. Khadija prepared and served a very good, delicious local breakfast, and she's a very special person. A perfect experience!

We came back to Marrakech and chose Riad Sapphire and Spa again, knowing we'd get premium service. The terrace is gorgeous, with a wide view of the Medina, and Max, a little tortoise, wanders around and basks in the sun. The riad is very clean, with daily cleaning and towel changes, and the service is high standard. Great value for money. We found the same warm, professional, helpful people as before. The evening was a little chilly, but they brought us a heater straight away and made us comfortable. On arrival, we had a spectacular evening with a hammam, massage, and delicious dinner worthy of a 5-star restaurant. Since it was my birthday, they surprised me with a cake and a very welcoming atmosphere. Thanks to Abdo and Driss for their professionalism, and to Kadija for the warm welcome and excellent breakfast. Everything was superlative again. We'll definitely return.

The owners were helpful with restaurant and activity suggestions, and even booked a couple of things for us. The building is beautifully done, everything is clean and fresh, and our room was comfortable and spacious. Each morning's breakfast had some nice Moroccan touches alongside Western-style options, so there was something for everyone. We had the best time and wouldn't hesitate to book here again.
