Riad Zinoun & Spa

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was good. We had to leave early, and they kindly served us breakfast at 6:20, which we appreciated. Still, we expected more for the price. Riad Zinon could have been cleaner and better organized. The lobby looked a bit messy, with things like water bottles left in corners, the bathroom could have been cleaner, and the rooms had no basic storage such as hooks or shelves. If you’re after a budget, two-star-style stay, it may suit you, but our expectations were higher given what it cost.

We had a great time exploring the market laneways in Marrakech, and the riad was a perfect base. It’s right in the old markets and near two palaces, a great tip from our host Mohammad. The traditional family home is beautiful, spread over multiple levels, with a lovely rooftop. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the bedroom was comfortable, clean and had aircon. The service was the best part. The host and owner Zinoun were kind and looked after all our needs. For €100 per night, we got an authentic, clean and comfortable room in a great location with great service. It isn’t a luxury villa with pool that costs €300 a night. I can’t understand the negative reviews here. Thanks for having us!

The rooftop terrace was lovely, and breakfast was delicious. Inside the beautiful riad it was peaceful, even though it’s right in the center of the Medina. The hosts were very friendly and gave us a warm welcome. Truly recommended from the heart!

Step outside and you’re straight into all the colour and bustle of Marrakesh, then back inside to an oasis from the madness. The rooms are spacious, authentic and full of Eastern character, about as Moroccan as it gets. The staff are attentive without being intrusive, and staying here felt more like time with family than a formal hotel.
