Hotel The Craftsmen

A lovely boutique hotel with a really attentive team. The interior is distinctive, the bed was extremely comfortable, and breakfast was excellent. Such a good find in Amsterdam, I’ll be back.

The room had that rare home-away-from-home feel, and the excellent breakfast and coffee helped me come back to life. The whole place is warm, charming, and dangerously welcoming. The team is its biggest asset: everyone was so kind and charming that I started to wonder if I’d wandered into a friendly cult. They took care of every wish before I even asked, which was a little unsettling but lovely. Then they gave me a present at checkout. Now I’m emotionally damaged, because every other hotel is bound to disappoint. 10/10, I’d happily be spoiled here again.

The breakfast was perfect, and the staff were super. I stayed in the builder room, which was exceptional. It’s expensive, but for that beautiful corner view and such a lovely atmosphere, I thought it was worth it. Go, go, go!

I only had 24 hours here on my way to Kilimanjaro, and the team made the stop easy. They kept my bags while the room was being prepared, so I could get breakfast and visit a museum. They let me know the room was ready early and brought my packs up. Later they put together breakfast for me to take along because I had an early flight. The location and views are great, and I liked the design too. Most of all, the customer service was superb. Thanks, guys.
