Mercure Amsterdam City

The rooms were clean and just as they should be, and the lobby was fantastic. Staff were really friendly and ready to help. The hotel is conveniently close to the city center and right by public transport stops, with parking available too. We had a very pleasant stay and I’ll book here again when I’m back in Amsterdam.

The hotel is outside the city center, so we took an Uber, though the station is a 10-minute walk away. The rooms were very clean and roomy. Staff were so friendly and helpful, and breakfast was good. Restaurant prices were what you’d expect at a city hotel. I’d definitely stay again.

Zion greeted us on Thursday afternoon and made my daughter and me feel like we mattered. He shared all the information we might need, gave us great advice, and moved us to a river view room. That was fantastic, and it made our stay wonderful from the start. Everything else was great too. I’ve also joined the loyalty program because of the service. A breakfast discount for a member would have been nice, but I’m happy anyway.

We could easily get to the city center by walking to the nearby metro, and Johan Cruijff Arena was conveniently close for Harry Styles on the 26th. The staff were incredible, with kindness and hospitality that left a lasting impression on us and on how we felt about Amsterdam. Check-in and check-out were smooth. Our room was spacious and a great place to relax after sightseeing, and the hotel was clean and modern. As a privilege member, I also appreciated the complimentary drinks from the lobby fridge, especially in the 27-30 degree heat. We had a very pleasant stay at Mercure Amsterdam City Hotel and can’t wait to return. We could have stayed three times longer if we could. Thanks so much. Olivia McG, Ireland. May 2026.
