Scandic Solli Oslo

The room was huge, and getting a bathtub was a pleasant surprise. The location was great too. I had mixed feelings about the stay, though, even after expecting worse from the Google Maps reviews. There wasn't a remote for the TV. The bigger letdown was breakfast at Scandic Solli. I've stayed at several Scandic hotels, and this was the worst breakfast I've had at one so far. The food tasted bland and there were very few options.

We enjoyed staying at Hotel Solli. From there, it's easy to get to Aker Brygge, the central station, and other main tourist spots. The rooms were spacious and nice, and breakfast was fantastic, as you'd expect at a Scandic.

Thanks for a nice stay. The hotel has clean, attractive rooms and offers what you need for a comfortable visit. My main frustration was how the reception and breakfast staff handled things. They weren't especially friendly or communicative, and at breakfast we were initially told it wasn't paid for, even though it was included in the price. That was their mistake, and people in other rooms told us the same thing had happened to them. I know errors happen, but having it repeated is really annoying. I hope staff can be more polite, smile a bit more, and be less awkward about these situations.

We walked about ten minutes to Akker Brygge from this modern hotel, which is right in central Oslo. The room and bathroom were both really spacious. We did hear some tram noise, but we were so tired it didn't bother us. Breakfast was great and had something for everyone. We'd recommend the place and hope to return.
