As a solo female traveler, I didn't feel safe here at all. Drunk people were coming in and out of the property all night, and I could sense people in front of my balcony, especially at night. The bathrooms were very dirty and unhygienic. For the amenities provided, it was overpriced, and overall I felt very unsafe as a woman.

The husband's a very nice guy, but the owner's wife was rude to tenants, and overall the experience wasn't the best. They don't tell you upfront about extra costs for laundry and other services, and there's no clear contract explaining the rent structure.

The host family are truly sweet and kind. They were always checking how I was and whether I needed anything. My room was clean and comfortable, with a lovely view of the nearby Kathmandu neighborhood. I loved staying here, and coming back to that room each day made my time in Kathmandu even more special.
