The rooftop restaurant has a stunning view, and the location in the circle around the stupa is hard to beat. My room was clean, decent, and comfortable, but most rooms face inward, so there was no natural light and it felt a bit claustrophobic to me. Sounds also carry through the building. My door lock didn’t work properly and took several tries each time, and the WiFi was hit and miss. Breakfast felt limited for the price: toast, egg, a small fruit salad, and tea or coffee. Since I can’t eat toast, I asked about other options and was eventually offered porridge. The location is the best part, but next time I’d look elsewhere.

Dinner during a Lions Club meeting about my NGO project in Nepal was a lovely experience. The food was delicious, the atmosphere warm, and the view of Boudha Stupa breathtaking. There’s a real sense of peace, heart, and genuine hospitality here.

For getting a feel for Tibetan Buddhism, this is a great spot. Monasteries surround it, Boudha stupa is right in front, and Boudha park is behind, so the location is perfect. The rooms are okay, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the rooftop is great.

The room was nice, and the rooftop restaurant served excellent food. We stayed right by the stupa and had nothing to complain about.

We stayed two nights and got bitten by bed bugs on the first night. We asked to move rooms for the second night, but still found one bug on the bed. The place was noisy. There’s a good view and breakfast, but please don’t stay here.
