Thamel Villa

We happened to stay at all three of their properties during our travels, and each was top class. At this one, our loft suite had loads of room, a private terrace, and all the comforts you’d expect from a good hotel. The staff were courteous and professional, and helped with laundry and airport drop-offs. It was quiet despite being right in the middle of Thamel, and their Pumpernickel breakfast was the best we had during three weeks in Nepal. Five stars, it ticks all the boxes.

The standout for me was the hospitality. Rajiv, Manisha, and Prim made both of my stays at Thamel Villa Heritage Hotel memorable, and if I’m back in Kathmandu, I’ll choose it again. It’s right in the heart of Thamel, close to lots of interesting places to explore. The rooms have a clean, comfortable feel while keeping their colonial old-world charm. I also appreciated that the amenities feature local products, giving a taste of Nepalese culture. This gem exceeded my expectations, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Nepal.

Restaurants and shops are all around, right in the heart of Thamel, and the staff were great. The bed was comfortable too. They’ve renovated the place tastefully while keeping its old-world charm, with lovely wooden floors and exposed beams. I’ll definitely stay again.

This former home has been beautifully restored, and it brings together great character and the feel of a boutique hotel. A real hidden gem in the middle of Thamel. For me, easily the best place to stay in the area. 10/10, would recommend!
