The location made it easy to walk to shops, restaurants, bakeries, and public transport. We were a group of six, including two children, and there was plenty of room. The apartment was just as shown on the site and well furnished. LV's team was exceptional, replying quickly to our messages before and during the visit. They also arranged an early check-in and prepared the large travel crib we'd requested for our three-year-old daughter, with a comfortable blanket and pillow. There are two elevators, which helped with our luggage. We cooked breakfast every day in the well equipped kitchen and did laundry in the unit a couple of times. Each bedroom has its own HVAC, so everyone could adjust the temperature. The beds in the large bedroom can be moved together to make a king-size bed. If you're there over Christmas, there are several markets, including one about three minutes away. There was some pedestrian noise from the street below in the two front rooms, though the shutters helped and it was usually quiet by 10:30. The back room stayed quiet and worked well for the children. We were very happy with our stay and plan to use LV on future trips to Portugal.

We had a really disappointing stay, with one problem after another. The room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke when we arrived. Staff came in, smelled it too, and said they'd get back to us, but we never heard from them. The next day the water was shut off because of technical updates in the area. That part was understandable, but they didn't give us even one bottle of water. We couldn't shower, wash up, or use the toilet all day. Two of us were sick, so we asked to extend our stay. They wouldn't offer any flexibility and wanted 80% of an extra night's price for just a half day. We paid, despite getting no updates about the earlier problems, and then ended up 45 minutes late checking out. Staff banged on our door five times and threatened to call the police. That felt completely out of line. When we tried to explain things to the general manager by phone, he yelled at us before we could speak, even though one of the girls was really sick. The online photos were a bit misleading. The place wasn't completely different, but it definitely didn't match the pictures. This was one of the worst accommodation experiences we've had, and we wouldn't recommend it.

The apartment was clean and well equipped for cooking, and we were even given the welcome gift shown in one of the pictures. It had one bedroom, an open kitchen and living room, and a bathroom, plus a dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer. There's just one closet for clothes. The location is superb, with most attractions within walking distance, on a pedestrian street. The view is of H&M. For a taxi or Uber, you should get dropped off by the Armazèns shopping mall. There are lots of people around and plenty of street musicians, including a saxophone player to look forward to. It can be noisy outside, but is usually quiet by 23:00. My only criticism is the lack of a drying rack. They should get one for guests' convenience. Still, five stars, and thanks to Bruno for answering my questions.

There were flies and mosquitoes throughout the unit. We lost count of how many mosquitoes we killed on the first day, and took a couple of photos of the ones by the window. The bathroom smelled so awful that we thought there might be dead animals in there. Staff couldn't move us to another apartment because the building was fully booked. They did try to help kill the mosquitoes and put air fresheners in the unit, including the bathroom. A couple of days into our stay, raw sewage smell spread through the building's main entrance and common areas. We were surprised that maintenance didn't air out those spaces or use disinfectant and a purifier. They left the building smelling of raw sewage for guests to endure. This was one of the most traumatic places I've stayed in across Europe.

We felt safe there, and the beds were comfortable. The apartment had everything we needed, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, and the location was great. Highly recommend.
