Nicola Rossio Hotel

Marcos was wonderful throughout our stay. He really cares about guests and had great advice and recommendations. All the staff were great, but he stood out for his customer service. At check-in, they even gave us pastel de nata and some port wine while they finished our paperwork. The hotel is perfectly placed for everything we wanted to do in Lisbon, with restaurants all around and the best ones within walking distance. Ubers and taxis pick up nearby too. Our room was small, as most European rooms are compared with what Americans are used to, but it was tidy and clean, with a great shower and bathroom. Having an elevator helped with our heavy bags.

For our first visit to Lisbon, we couldn’t have chosen a better hotel. The room was spotless, every staff member gave us amazing service, and the location couldn’t be beaten. I’ll definitely return whenever I’m back in Lisbon.

The one thing that kept this from the highest rating was the sound from the corridor. When people talked in the hall or slammed doors, it sounded as if they were right inside our room. Outside noise was blocked well, though, so the busy area didn’t disturb us. The room and lobby felt like a luxurious boutique hotel, and everything, including the bathroom, was very clean. We appreciated the complimentary capsule coffee in the room, and our little balcony looked out over Rossio square. The location was perfect. We arrived a couple of hours early, but since our room was ready, they let us check in straight away. The staff were amazing, welcomed us with a freshly baked Pate de Nata, and treated us like we were staying at a 5-star hotel. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend the place.

We ended up extending our stay because we enjoyed it so much. I’m especially grateful to Filips Soares, who helped us refine our travel plans and made our holiday in Lisbon truly wonderful. The staff were friendly, helpful, and professional, and breakfast was very nice. It was thoughtful of the hotel to offer breakfast boxes for guests heading out on early group tours. The location is excellent for getting around: attractions in the town center are walkable, the metro is a couple of minutes away, and several bus stops are right next door. If your room faces the square, you get a lovely view of the Castle.
