Link Hotel

The room was a reasonable size for Singapore, and my mother and I found the hotel clean and hygienic during our stay. The setting was pleasant too. The location was decent, though it didn’t feel as close or convenient as some reviews made it sound, and the lobby looked quite dated. I’m also unsure why it’s rated four stars, since three seems more fitting to me. No one was available to help with our luggage, which felt unusual. I don’t know whether that’s common in Singapore or just at this hotel, but it stood out.

The room was pleasant enough, but tiny, and the TV barely worked: it didn’t want to turn on and the speakers were blown. The WiFi was spotty too. There was mildew around the shower, and I got about three minutes of warm water before it turned cold. The hallways looked worn and needed better lighting, while the lobby was really outdated. Not happy with Link Hotel, and I wouldn’t recommend it. Spend a couple more dollars and find somewhere better. Stay elsewhere.

We chose Link Hotel for a night alone together because it was the most affordable option, and I’d come back. It’s a good fit if you want a clean, private place with someone you love, though anyone after a four- or five-star hotel feel should look elsewhere. My wife has strong allergies, so I checked the linen and mattress carefully. They looked like they’d been kept clean, and I didn’t notice much dust or any strange smell. The toilet and shower areas were clean as well. The air con was cold. The TV was a bit dated, but it worked for some entertainment and helped block out noise from next door. They provide basic items: shower gel, conditioner, toothbrush and toothpaste, a hairdryer, and clean towels. For some reason there was no shampoo.

It’s easy to get around from here by MRT or bus, so the location worked really well. The room isn’t spotless and there were still some ants, but for the price the size is decent, especially by Singapore hotel standards. It also has a window.
