Aurum The River Place

The neighborhood stays really quiet at night, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. I had a wonderful time at this small hotel. My room was roomy enough for two adults and a small child, with a view of Wat Arun across the way. Madam Pan was great from the start and responded to every request we had during our stay. I loved being there.

Breakfast on the terrace, looking out at Wat Arun, was a highlight. The hotel has an old-fashioned feel, with proper furniture and plenty of character. The staff were lovely and the service was excellent. Its location also made river trips, public transport, and a walk to the Royal Palace easy.

Pan, the kind woman in the lobby, was a real bright spot. She was incredibly helpful and even arranged an airport transfer for my departure. On my solo trip to Bangkok, Aurum the River Place suited me well: it was clean, comfortable, reasonably priced, and in an ideal spot by the river. I enjoyed breakfast each morning on the restaurant deck, with lovely views over the river and Wat Arun. I'd happily recommend it to anyone planning to stay in Bangkok's riverside area.

We got there early in the morning, before check-in, but were quickly given a nice room with a lovely river and temple view. The room was clean and everything worked properly. Breakfast was good too, with a river view, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Five stars!
