The online photos gave a much better impression than the hotel did in person. I’d compare it to a cat that looks cute from far away but isn’t very cooperative up close. Our room was far smaller than the larger room I’d booked through Booking, and staff either couldn’t or wouldn’t sort it out. I ended up paying more than it was worth. The windows didn’t shut properly, the handle came off the door, and the room felt poorly cleaned, especially the bathroom. Breakfast had little variety, and there wasn’t even cheese while I was there. The atmosphere felt unwelcoming, and staff didn’t seem friendly or helpful. Based on my stay, I’d put it around 2.5-3 stars.

During our December 2025 stay at AHC Grand bazar hotel, $2500 was stolen from our room. We told hotel management straight away, but the matter wasn’t investigated. Travellers should be careful with valuables.

The breakfast was a letdown. The bread and cake tasted good, but seeing a moldy apple put me off eating. We were also given a double room instead of the connecting room we had booked. The hotel said its system showed a double room, even after we showed our booking, and offered neither a solution nor compensation. Our room was on the 7th floor beside the breakfast area, so it was noisy at 6 a.m. They did move us when we asked, but the whole interaction felt unwelcoming and unaccommodating. This wasn’t what I expect from a 4-star hotel. I wouldn’t recommend it or book here again.

Breakfast was delicious and offered a different selection each day, with options for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. The rooms were spacious, clean, and matched the photos, and the cleaning ladies were lovely and quick. My wife and I stayed nine nights, and most things went smoothly. One night the air conditioning stopped working; Mr. Akif at reception, if I’ve got his name right, said he’d fix it the next day, and he did. Everyone was kind and tried to help, including Ercan, Akif, Mete, the unnamed woman at reception, and other colleagues whose English wasn’t very strong. Thanks for the stay and the experience, especially compared with another hotel in Eminonu last year.
