Aquarium Hotel

Wizard of Where. I stayed here in Istanbul and liked this small hotel, which is close to some of the main sights. There was a continental breakfast, plus drinks you could buy during the day. Public transport, the double decker bus, or a walk made most things you’d need or want to see easy to reach.

They kept us waiting in the lobby for seven hours while they cleaned a room. When we finally got in, everything was a mess: stained sheets, a bad smell, moldy, damaged walls, and floors that seemed to have been cleaned with Clorox to cover the odor. It was a horrible experience. The staff couldn’t manage basic things like cleaning the room or filling in the check-in papers. This place doesn’t deserve three stars, more like one. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

Don’t book here. The service was bad, the rooms and toilets were dirty and small, and the air conditioning didn’t work. There were no closets, some beds shifted whenever we sat on them, and there was no hot water for showers. They also came into our room several times while we were out without permission. Just a bad, horrible hotel.

They moved us through four rooms, each with its own problem. Three had air conditioning that didn’t work, and even the supposedly better room they promised had the same issue. They never fixed anything. The worst part was that they moved our room and belongings without telling us. We came back at night to find our things in the state shown in the uploaded photo. We went to the police and got the rest of our money back. Liars, awful service.
