Peninsula Galata Boutique Hotel

The location is hard to beat, about three minutes from Galata Bridge, the tram and shops, with Karakoy’s big dining area just minutes away. We stayed for more than a week, with a couple of overnight tours in between, so we came back to the hotel a few times. Both rooms across our three stays were very clean and quiet despite the central spot. They could use a bit more maintenance and a few small fixes to bring them up to what we’d call four-star quality, though everything still worked. The staff were wonderful and always helpful, and treated us like family, or sultans. We’d definitely stay again. After trying more hotels around Turkey, we haven’t found another in the same price range that matched the standard at P.Galata. A diamond in the rough.

Serhat made our trip much easier. He was always available to help arrange what we needed and gave us lovely suggestions for places to visit. That attention and willingness to go the extra mile really mattered. We also have to thank Shafaq. Yasar, Mohammad, and Musa for making us feel welcome from the start. They were kind, genuine, and ready with a smile every time we spoke. The hotel itself is a great place to stay, but it’s the team that made it feel like home. We’re so grateful and can’t wait to return.

Compact rooms and a little noise are worth keeping in mind, but the location is spot-on and the staff are thoughtful and caring. The spaces were clean and modern, and breakfast was reliable. Good value for a friendly, convenient stay in Istanbul. I had a lovely one-night visit and will definitely come back.

Breakfast was very good and served generously, and the staff were friendly and ready to help. My room had a comfortable bed, working air conditioning, and really good lighting. There are several restaurants nearby, plus souvenir shops within walking distance. With Galata Tower and the tram station so close, the location is especially convenient. We had a very nice stay and would choose this place again.
