Holiday Inn Express Windsor

Breakfast was the highlight, with a full English and Costa coffee. The staff were lovely, the lobby cosy, and the accommodation comfortable, clean, modern and quiet. Plan for the walk into town, about 15 minutes, especially if you don’t have a car and are carrying suitcases. There’s just one lift, which could be a concern if it breaks down. We had three people in one room and were constantly stepping around each other and our bags, though it would be great for two. We could hear planes crossing overhead from Heathrow, but the room was still quiet. The lobby and bar stay open 24:7.

My partner and I had a great stay at Holiday Inn Express in Windsor. The room was clean, modern and warm, with a comfortable bed and a nice hot shower. Reception were very welcoming, and the breakfast area was clean and modern too. The food was fresh and delicious, and I loved the pancake maker. I’d really recommend it.

Our son felt like a VIP during his birthday weekend. The hotel gave him a voucher for a special treat and hot chocolate, and our room was decorated with balloons and treats, with a birthday card and a lovely staff message on the main mirror. I’d contacted management before we arrived to ask if they could make his stay special, and they asked for his name and took it from there. The receptionist welcomed us warmly, and the hotel was clean, lovely, and staffed by helpful people. It’s about a 10-minute drive to Lego land, with Windsor town centre just minutes away and plenty of shops, restaurants and attractions like Windsor castle. The children’s food options were limited and there wasn’t much on the menu for kids. Still, we’d recommend it and plan to return next summer for Lego land.

The room was clean and modern, with plugs beside the beds, and the wifi was excellent. Breakfast was delicious, and the bar had reasonable prices. Staff were friendly and polite. The hotel is in a great location, and parking is available for a charge.
