Do not book here. The hotel is still refusing a refund even though this was not a nonrefundable room. I missed the cancellation deadline by just six hours because of the storm, and we had every intention of going until my flight and convention were cancelled. The hotel's response says a third party leaves refunds to the hotel's discretion. More lies and games. Over the January 23-26 weekend, a major ice storm hit Dallas and much of Texas. The convention was cancelled, as were flights. Everyone else was understanding and refunded or credited us despite their policies. When I called customer care to cancel, the agent said they would cancel and asked me to contact the hotel for an exception. While I was on hold, I got a cancellation notice in big red letters saying “Free Cancellation.” The agent left me waiting for 37 minutes, then came back to say the hotel wouldn't refund me because I was six hours late, in the middle of a severe storm. This was not a nonrefundable booking or anything else that should have meant no refund. The hotel is taking advantage of people. I would give zero stars if the site allowed it.

There was no shower curtain, so how are you supposed to shower without soaking the floor? The rooms are very small, we had only one washcloth, and when we asked for extra towels, we were told the hotel had just three left. We checked in at 3 PM. When we got back at 11:30 that night, towels and sheets were still lying in the hallway. We were told that was housekeeping's problem. We also raised our concerns with the front desk, but as soon as we walked away, the woman there started complaining about us asking for more towels. She did the same thing to an elderly guest who had reported a door slamming all night, talking about her after she left.

I'm six months pregnant and was traveling with my children, aged 1.5 and 3.5. After our room was accidentally cancelled through the bank, we called right away to explain. They said they couldn't reverse the charges, and somehow there were no rooms left just minutes later. We ended up paying for two nights and had no room. I tried reaching the manager after being assured they were there. I left several voicemails and emails and called the front desk 15 times, but nobody responded. It was a horrible experience. I'll be filing a complaint and looking for further help.

The location worked really well for us: it felt like a safe area, away from the busier part of town but still close to the Stockyards and downtown Fort Worth. Our kids enjoyed the clean pool at night, and there were plenty of towels. Breakfast was good, with hot items kept stocked, which isn't always the case. We had a two-double-bed room that was clean and roomy enough for our family of four. The pillows were comfortable; the beds were just okay, but fine for the price. Check-in and checkout were quick and easy. Country Inn was a solid, budget-friendly choice for our family. It's not fancy, but everything worked and was in good condition, and the breakfast was good. Great value.

For $189, I expected more. The beds were broken down, and the toilet only flushed if we held the handle down, and even then it didn't always work. The pool was closed because it was supposedly “too cold,” even though other pools nearby were open. The woman at the front desk couldn't be bothered to get up and greet us.
