Quality Inn & Suites Irving DFW Airport South

We lost an hour of sleep before a rebooked flight that same morning, when we had at most four hours to rest. The courtesy van information was a mess: the text system gave one expectation, then a phone call gave a different story. We were told a van would arrive in 10 minutes and waited 45. Other people waiting had been there even longer and were given still different information. If all the systems shared accurate arrival details, guests could make a sensible choice about how to get to the hotel, whatever the actual wait was.

The room was spotless and the beds were comfortable. We ended up here overnight after American delayed our flight and we missed our connection. Getting picked up by the shuttle was easy, though its morning return trips to the airport only run on the hour. We wanted to leave at 4:30am, so had to take the 4am shuttle.

The rooms are a dump, though the employees were nice. I was here after the airlines cancelled our flight, and the young Indian guy at the front desk was kind, curious, and really helpful when we checked in at 1am. He followed through and called to wake us so we'd make the 5am shuttle. Then he drove us to the airport himself. This was on Dec 31, 2025. I don't know your name, brother, but I hope work recognizes you. The rooms aren't great, but that's not his fault. I've stayed in worse.

After my first flight was delayed, I got stuck with an unexpected overnight layover at DFW on American Airlines and stayed at Quality Inn DFW Airport South. Bo, I think that was his name, was an amazing shuttle driver and really went out of his way. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful too, 10/10 service. My room was clean and smelled nice, and the bed was comfortable. Good choice if you need to be near the airport before an early flight or have a free overnight stay through AA Flights. I'd happily recommend it.
