We paid $69 and arrived around 2 a.m., too exhausted to leave. The front desk guy was nice, but that’s the only good thing I can say. We’ve stayed in cheap motels before and aren’t picky, but this was the nastiest. The room smelled awful, even though smoke smell usually doesn’t bother us. The sheets were stained, there was only a thin sheet instead of a comforter, and I was cold all night. The floor hadn’t been swept or mopped, and the shower had no clean areas at all. I’d rather shower outside with a hose. I worried about bedbugs the whole time, and some sketchy people with a U-Haul hung around our car all night. They didn’t break in, thankfully, but we got no rest. I hadn’t planned to review it, but Google kept asking. Spend another $5 or $10 and stay at quality instead.

The housekeeping has improved a lot. The rooms are clean, smell good, and are organized, and I think the workers, including the housekeepers, are good. The woman who works Sunday around 2 a.m. is especially nice and informative, and made sure I had a decent room. I’ve stayed here four or five times during 2025, sometimes for two weeks with colleagues when our boss books a room. On one stay I had to buy my own tissue, though nothing in the paperwork I signed said I’d need to provide it. Management has been poor at dealing with problems, usually explaining why there’s an issue instead of trying to fix it. I’m not confrontational, so I checked out without asking for a refund, but this place needs new management or at least a new front desk manager. I think the younger manager is Ken Nisha. She doesn’t seem to know the property well. When I asked for the corporate number, she didn’t know it; I asked to speak with her manager, and she said she was the manager. The morning manager, who isn’t the older one, needs more experience and leadership skills. It feels like she cares more about having the title than being a team player and solving problems. I feel the older manager has changed for the better. She used to seem hostile and impatient, but lately she’s been nicer and more willing to listen to understand. She’s the only one I feel meets the responsibilities of a manager. There keep being new rules that I can’t find online or in the document I signed, which I plan to attach to this review. Sorry this got long, but I wanted to be honest.

The rooms are actually pretty good, even though the pictures online don’t match them. This place could be great, but I think it needs new management. The old managers were stricter than the current ones. I pay $400 a week and have been told I can only get tissue once a week, so I have to buy it myself. The office is often empty between 7 and 9 a.m. It seems like the morning shift does little while the afternoon shift handles everything. I’m left waiting for towels and for my key to be renewed. It feels like titles were handed out just to keep the property from going under, but I don’t see the front desk manager or property manager doing anything to improve it.

The place has improved a lot, and the overnight staff are the best. Kenisha makes sure I’m taken care of, physically and financially, and Janae always gets me a blanket. When I come at night, Janae is running around helping people, unlocking doors, bringing towels, and more. The white girl on the overnight shift is always nice and helpful, and security is great. Overall, 9/10. Kimberly is nice, but I think the management is wrong. She lets my cousin stay free some days even though he doesn’t work, but when I needed to make a late payment for the second time, she said no. It confuses me that she seems to help men before women. Kenisha should be property manager because she knows the job and system. Kimberly can’t even give me a price quote. I’d rather have the old managers back; at least they didn’t let people take advantage.

I’ve stayed at this Motel 6 whenever I’m in the area, but it’s changed drastically for the worse. I spent three nights there last week. Half an hour after checking in, I reported that the TV didn’t work. I brought it up every day and nobody fixed it. On the last night, the night woman moved me to a room with a working TV. She was the nicest person there, with long dreads and a shorter build. I’m sorry I don’t know her name, because she was fantastic. A couple of days later I came back for one night before heading home, and they told me I was on the do-not-rent list because I’d broken the TV in the first room. It was already broken when I checked in, and I’d complained several times. They’ll rent you a room covered in bugs and falling apart, then blame you for it. I reported the business. Beware! I also need someone higher up to contact me about the $50 deposit from when I stayed in April. I was told at checkout it would go back to my card, but it still hasn’t. I wasn’t very worried before, but since they’re trying to scam someone, I want that deposit returned.
