The owner was friendly, and we didn’t have to deal with the neighbors or wait for the washroom. That was about the only good part. The place was extremely dirty, smelled like Clorox, and the washroom, floor, surroundings, and pillows were all dirty. I even questioned whether the sheets and towels were clean. We weren’t traveling for a vacation, but still had the worst nights and felt so much negative energy there. There’s no parking, the building is very old, and it doesn’t look like the pictures. I regret choosing it just to save money and should’ve listened to the reviews. If you’re a tourist, I’d say stay in one of the clean cities nearby. If you’re going for fun, don’t make saving money the priority. I don’t recommend it.

This is a run-down old Section 8 apartment. It’s an illegal Airbnb, hotel, motel business, with no license or liability and no compliance with city laws or code regulations.

If I could give zero stars, I would. My reservation was canceled less than 24 hours before I was due to arrive, so I never even checked in. I called more than 50 times from three different phones and nobody answered. I booked through Booking, but they didn’t know about the cancellation because the property hadn’t followed the procedure to notify them. Booking called three times and emailed the property, with no response. Eventually I got a short, uninformed message saying my card couldn’t be processed. It was my travel card, which I’d been using without any problems. They still tried to charge it because it was “within 7 days of check in,” so I had to call again to get the transaction reversed. This is a COMPLETE scam. We drove by the property and it looked like quite a dump. Probably for the best.

Do not book here. I arrived tonight after booking through booking.com and was told there was no room, even though I had a booking. They said I hadn’t paid, which wasn’t true because booking.com charges you. Then I was told there was a problem with the room and there were no rooms available. The woman wouldn’t cancel it and told me to contact booking.com for a refund. Now I’m out at least $600 for no clear reason. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had. Please don’t give this lady your money, and especially don’t use booking.com, which has no customer support right now. Update: I did contact booking.com, as the woman instructed. To avoid paying to relocate me, they said the original property Pads on Pasadena Ave told them I had left the room and hotel because I wasn’t satisfied, then booked somewhere else for the rest of my stay. That’s not true, as the account above explains. DO. NOT. BOOK. HERE.
