7 Days Hotel Bronx

I’ve had some okay stays here and some really bad ones. The second floor is especially loud: I heard several physical and verbal altercations, along with children banging on walls and screaming. I’ve had to change rooms a few times, and sometimes was told there were no rooms. I was also told people can rent without showing ID, even though the desk window says ID required. There’s no parking in the back, and it gets so crowded that my husband’s car was hit. The ice buckets smell like wet dog. They allow pets, so I assume the buckets are being used as water bowls. There was hair all over the supposedly clean towels and sheets. I could keep going, but try to avoid the second floor if you can. The Vine is a good hotel, and so is The Hilltop in Yonkers, which isn’t as expensive.

I come here to rest before going back to my city job, and I’m spending my hard-earned money for that. But whenever the man at the window is there, I run into problems. When he’s away, I have no issue. He gave me this room, and the way he treats me is crazy. He’s disrespectful, doesn’t know how to deal with customers, and can’t speak to women properly.

This place felt like a scam, not a hotel. The room was tiny, the floor sticky, the air heavy, and the yellowed sheets weren’t inviting. The pictures must be years old because the actual place was incredibly dingy and nothing like them. Check-in dragged on, and I had to ask the clerk to repeat himself several times because the speaker he used was so weak. For hours overnight, I could hear an altercation with threats of violence in the hallway or entrance. My door faced the lobby, and the room phone wasn’t even plugged in when I tried to call the police. At checkout, I asked what had happened. The security guard said he didn’t know, despite being there while the altercation happened at his workplace.

I paid 320 for a room with a TV that didn’t work, and they didn’t reimburse me. They want their money, but won’t make up for the inconvenience on their end. Make sure everything in the room works before paying.
