Best Western PLUS Executive Hotel

I got some rest because the bed was comfortable, but the shower had no hot water at all. The sink did have hot water, but the shower head was broken, and the refrigerator smelled noticeably bad. I paid $99 for the night plus a $100 hold, so basic things like working fixtures and hot water shouldn't have been a problem. I don't complain easily, but those are basic expectations for a hotel stay. I hope management fixes these issues for future guests.

The room was big, but the floor was so dirty our feet and socks turned black just from walking around. Housekeeping needs to mop with soap. The bed was hard, and the layout was awkward: the sink was in the bedroom, separate from the tiny bathroom with the shower and toilet, and the light switch was outside the bathroom. There was no shampoo or conditioner. The TV was large, but the guide listed channels like Food Network, Travel, and Discovery that didn't come in, so there was mostly sports or news. Finding the road in the dark was hard because the little sign at the end wasn't lit. Breakfast was a joke. The pancake machine didn't work, the coffee was very weak, and the fake eggs and sausage were inedible. The breakfast room was packed, people stepped on us multiple times, and every table was occupied by people sitting around waiting for a bus or something. We had to take the food back to our room. The photos must be from when the hotel was new. It's on my blacklist, and I won't stay here again.

But the room wasn't truly clean, even if it looked that way at first. There was grime around the sink, tub, and toilet, and I saw one dead roach and one live one. The hallway carpets need to be replaced or completely redone. They make the hotel look outdated. It wasn't what I expected from the online photos.

I lost at least $100 worth of food and toiletries, and had to dig through a dumpster for about 30 minutes to recover my $500 prescription medication. I was staying for a week on a work trip, but my boss had booked one night fewer than my crew thought. That's mostly his fault, though the problem I ran into could have been avoided. We thought we had another night, so we left our things in the room during the day. The hotel packed up our clothes but threw out everything in the fridge and our toiletries. The front desk guy checked with the room service staff, who said they'd taken it all to the dumpster and couldn't help. They packed my glasses from the bathroom vanity into my bag, but trashed everything else that was there. Why pack some things and throw away the rest?
