Econo Lodge

The ladies at the front desk were awesome. The room had no strange smells, the sheets were clean, and it was mostly clean, though a little rough around the edges. I checked for bed bugs and didn't find any. It was quiet so far, and I was pleased enough for the night with my dogs and kids during a long trip. The place needs maintenance and updating, but for what I paid, that wasn't a big deal.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and no one had knocked on my door by 10:30 to ask if I was leaving. I'd requested a later checkout, and at some other hotels they knock anyway and try to come in if no one answers. I got a good night's rest in a clean room, with fresh-smelling linens and a TV that worked, plus a microwave and fridge. I didn't have a bed bug problem. For the price, I was satisfied and would recommend it to family and friends. I'd come back.

The front desk lady was very nice and clearly working hard. Given what she has to work with, the motel seemed as clean and nice as it could be. But our room smelled like smoke despite this being a non-smoking hotel. It was cheap, dingy, and worn, with thin, stained sheets. The room we had needs to be gutted and redone. We didn't feel safe because of the rough crowd the hotel attracts, and would have paid more for a better room near guests who don't smoke in a non-smoking motel. We left not long after checking in. Just thinking about sleeping there gave us the creeps, though I didn't ask for a refund and probably should have. The pool was empty even though it was about 95 degrees out.

The room had a strange smell, and there were scratches on the furniture and stains on the walls. The bathroom was tiny, its floor was dirty, the toilet wasn't clean, and the floors were cracked and dirty too. The beds were all right, but the pillows and furniture weren't clean. The phone and clock didn't work, and the light by the sink looked jury-rigged. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless it was your last option.
