The Hotel Y

I was worried as we drove toward the hotel because so many places on that street looked run-down. I expected this one to be the same, and was glad to be wrong. It's a lovely, clean, modern property, with a fenced pet area and Crave Coffee right next door. The rooms feel fresh and the beds are comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was surprisingly excellent, and everyone from the front desk to housekeeping greeted me with a smile and was happy to help. Stay here instead of a lesser hotel that costs twice as much!

Some of my relatives worry about the location because parts of 1st Street look a little sketchy. We come in via Highway 12, which is maybe a block from Hotel Y, and have always had quiet, restful stays with no issues. It's our go-to when visiting relatives in Yakima, and a treasure for a very affordable price. The rooms are clean and modern, the beds are super comfortable, and there are plenty of ports for electronics. The whole staff is unfailingly friendly and eager to please. Janie deserves a special shout-out for customer service that's above and beyond. Breakfast is free and has choices for everyone, not just the cheap carbs you sometimes get at similarly priced motels.

Nicely updated hotel for a great price. The mattresses are great, there's a choice of pillow types, and the towels and washcloths are fantastic. Breakfast was decent, with yummy sandwiches and cereal.

I was in town for my grandchild's baseball tournament and had a wonderful stay at The Hotel Y. The rooms were clean, the staff friendly and helpful, and it was convenient for both the fields and restaurants. I called today with a few questions and spoke with Brandon, the manager. His customer service and kindness went beyond what I expected. I'll definitely stay again, and highly recommend The Hotel Y when you're in Yakima, Washington.
