Move Inn

The location is great, but I really regret booking this room. I paid around 55 USD a night and wish I’d spent about 20 bucks more for somewhere better. Hong Kong’s public transport is so good that staying farther out in nicer accommodation might be a better choice. When I first walked in, I was shocked and wondered if I’d booked the right place. The third-party website photos were misleading: my room looked much more run down, old, and dirty, and it smelled musty when I arrived. If you’ll check in after 8 p.m., you need to email them for special instructions, since the building is residential and the main door is locked.

It’s very small, which I guess is typical for HK, but clean and with good AC.

The room, bed, and hot shower were good, and the setup felt more like an apartment. The location is good too, but communication was extremely difficult. Most things are done online, so I expected to just show my reservation confirmation, but checking in turned out to be hard. I stayed in the room because I worried I might not be able to get back into the building through the security lock. Be prepared for an experience with absolutely zero English.

A comfortable, clean, well-equipped place with quite a lot of room space. The staff were friendly and helpful, and it’s a good hotel choice if you’re looking in Causeway Bay.
