Cortiina Hotel

The staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, and the amenities were incredible. The gym was a real surprise, better than most hotel gyms we’ve used in the U.S., which is rare in Europe. We also loved the fun atmosphere at the hotel bar, a great place for a nightcap after a day out. Cortiina Hotel was our favourite hotel of our European honeymoon. We spent four nights there, a perfect midpoint in the trip. It’s right in the heart of Munich, with plenty to explore just steps away and most attractions within walking distance. The subway is a few blocks away when you need it. Our room was huge compared with the other places we stayed in Europe, and that made it much more comfortable. The design was stylish and modern, and the heated bathroom floor felt amazing after long days walking around. Comfortable, central, and full of great amenities. We’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Munich.

Breakfast was a highlight: a beautiful, generous spread with lots of delicious options, thoughtfully presented. We could also order from the menu, which was included, and the restaurant felt intimate and cozy. The hotel was quiet even over Easter weekend, despite being just a 5 to 10 minute walk from many popular attractions. It was our first visit to Munich, and we had a very comfortable stay at Cortiina Hotel. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Our spacious, contemporary room was clean, with a kitchenette-style island counter. It was reached through a separate entrance just a few steps from the main lobby, which was handy. The pillows were quite thin, which I personally like, though others may prefer thicker ones. As in many European hotels, they provided one large bottle of water, and more were available on request. We’d definitely come back when we visit Munich again.

We picked the hotel for its name alone because my wife is called Cortina, and it turned out to be a stroke of luck. I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels over the years, good and bad, but this was by far my best hotel experience. The staff treated us like family, the facilities were very good, and the location was perfect. It happened to be my birthday the day we arrived. I hadn’t mentioned it, but they noticed it in my passport and went out of their way to make the day special. They really went above and beyond. I recommend this hotel to everyone.

I travel to Munich for work quite often and have stayed here more than five times. It’s my absolute favourite place to stay there. The rooms are beautifully done, the food is amazing, and the location is great. The wonderful staff and hotel are the best part of my trip.
