Colectia Stays Gran Vía

The location is right in the center and close to everything, and the rooms are new, comfortable, and pleasant. What really stood out was how kind the staff were. They genuinely went out of their way to help with anything we needed. A fantastic stay, highly recommended!

The stay ended on a deeply frustrating note: water was shut off at 10 AM on checkout day, though checkout was at 11 AM, and there had been no warning. They only explained the situation after I emailed them once the water was already off. When I asked for a solution, they stopped replying. I think they should have offered something like a late checkout so we could get ready once the water came back. There’s been no further help or response, which was incredibly disappointing. To be clear, this is an apartment rental, not a hotel. There’s no daily cleaning, and for a long stay you should bring extra towels. Those things weren’t a big deal and didn’t cause major problems during our trip.

We liked having free coffee and candies available until around 5 PM, and could refill the room’s provided bottle from the tap. They also changed our towels daily. The room was clean, spacious, well equipped, and comfortable, with a cozy yet chic feel. The hotel is stylish, modern, and well maintained, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. A major hassle was a water outage that lasted about 4 hours because of work in the neighborhood. The hotel did its best to inform guests, but being without water in the middle of the day was still frustrating. It was temporary and service returned to normal. Even with that, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it, though there could be minor disruptions outside the hotel’s control. Colectia Gran Vía Hotel is right on Gran Vía, making it easy to explore. Gran Via and Callao metro stations are within walking distance, and there are shops, restaurants, and malls nearby, including El Corte Inglés and the Preciados shopping area. Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, and Royal Palace are also a short walk away.

The staff are friendly, and the service matches what you’d hope for at this great spot on Gran Via. It’s easy to explore, come back for a rest in the middle of the day, and head out again. Great value for the location and service.
