Ruby Suites Strasbourg

We were so disappointed by the hotel and the room that we left as soon as we walked in. I was annoyed that the receptionist kept offering us another room instead of simply refunding our money. I had a bad feeling when I spoke with her and thought we might never get our money back. About two weeks later, they refunded only 20€. That’s laughable. I paid 150€ for the reservation, parking, and taxes for a room we never stayed in, and they made a nice profit from me. The hotel is falling apart and badly needs renovation. We’re not people who pick on every little thing, we just wanted a normal stay. Instead, we got a five-minute tour of the hotel for some 150€. Great.

The room was a really nice place to stay, and the service was good for a fairly low price. We had a double bed and a sleeping couch, plus a fridge, microwave, plates, glasses, and cutlery. The shower was nice, though a little too low. I'd stay here again.

Very friendly staff, and downtown was an easy 10-15 minute walk away. The rooms are a little old, but they were very clean, and there was a small kitchen inside. A good fit for a weekend in Strasbourg.

The internet was a total disaster, which made video calls on FaceTime, Skype, WhatsApp, or anything else impossible for me. A hotel in a place like Strasbourg should expect that guests may need internet for work. I really hope they fix it soon. The place itself was actually nice.
