The hostel is quiet and the location is great. Staff are really friendly, and it's good for the price. It wasn't the easiest place to meet lots of new people, though it is possible. The facilities were okay, about what you'd find at most hostels in Bali.

It's a clean, pleasant hostel with nice staff, and the smoothie place across the road is much better. The Wi-Fi is awkward to access and mediocre at best. Also, there's no scooter parking, which is a shame. One toilet kept flushing, and with the thin walls, it was annoying if your room was beside the bathroom. Staff didn't seem very concerned and said they'd deal with it in the morning.

If I could give it zero stars, I would. Bedbugs woke me in the middle of the night, and there was nobody at reception to offer another room or a refund. I ended up in the public room, with a torn-up couch and beanbag chairs. This may be the most disgusting hostel I've stayed in across nearly six months of staying almost exclusively in hostels around Southeast Asia. The bathrooms weren't being cleaned and had mold. The shower and drainage were so poor the floors never dried, and the smell was overwhelming. Spend the extra dollar elsewhere. Any savings on the room will go toward power-drying your luggage the next day.

After two days here, I had around 15 bites that I believed were from bedbugs. The manager wasn't there, so I called him. He said he'd stayed in the same room for a year without ever having this problem and suggested I might have brought the bugs from another hostel. He didn't apologize. I asked him to call if he wanted to apologize, and I'm still waiting. It felt like he didn't want to take responsibility, and his attitude left a bad impression. The worst hostel I've stayed in. Call me Mr. Manger.
