The bed was comfortable, and the pillows were wonderfully firm. I also appreciated having water, tea, espresso pods, a hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, and soap. The shower needed more attention because of mold, and the desk had grimy marks, probably left by the previous guest. There was no iron or steamer in the room, though I might have been able to get one by calling. I couldn’t get the elevator to work from the third floor when I was leaving. I went downstairs and saw that a mop bucket had been left to hold it open while it dried, so I got in a few extra trips up and down the stairs. I only heard the neighbors when they showered or were out in the hall, which was nice. I wish they’d emailed instructions for getting into the building and room on the first day. I messaged through the booking the day before but got no reply. Once I finally found the place, I called and the man calmly and kindly told me what floor to go to and how to get into my room.

The staff were great and helped us call taxis several times, as well as getting our room ready. We stayed one night and really liked it. The room had a great view of the street, and the amenities were all provided. The renovation looked professionally done, not homemade. After staying at other B&Bs, this one felt five-star, and it was a seven-minute walk from all the attractions.

It took us a while to find the place, but the staff member was very helpful once we got there. The room was clean and tidy, though a little small. It stayed really hot and we couldn’t adjust the temperature. Turning off the radiator didn’t make a difference, and we couldn’t leave the window open because mosquitoes were coming in.

The room was comfortable and well stocked, and the hotel is close to the centre. It was noisy overnight because of people partying outside. Finding reception wasn’t easy either. Even at the right street number, there are several unmarked doors and unsigned stairs leading up to it.
