We left after only an hour, and I wouldn't recommend this accommodation based on our experience. My wife felt unsafe and uncomfortable, especially about staying overnight, so we booked somewhere else for our two nights in Rome and lost the money for this reservation. The kitchen wasn't clean, the fridge smelled strongly and unpleasantly, and several cupboards were locked, so proper cooking wasn't possible. The place didn't feel welcoming, and the neighborhood made us uneasy. We had booked through Booking.com because cancellation was free until one day before arrival, but we couldn't cancel on check-in day. Later, our new hotel said we might have paid the city tax twice. We contacted the host, but received no refund, even as a goodwill gesture. We also asked to get at least one night's cost back and never heard anything.
