Yukari and Kou were such welcoming hosts. My check-in was delayed, and they went out of their way to help. I stayed three nights in a simple, traditional room that was cozy and very clean. The shared bathrooms were extremely clean too, and there were other guests there on only one of my nights. The common area was a lovely, cozy place to sit and read. I enjoyed toast with delicious blueberry jam every morning, and the hosts left cold tea in the fridge for me, which was perfect after a day walking around. The laundry service was great. The nearest tram stop is a five-minute walk away. The place is outside downtown, so you'll probably take the tram to most tourist spots, but it's easy and riding the tram is a Nagasaki attraction in itself. For the price, I can't think of a better base for exploring the city. I'd recommend it to all my friends going to Nagasaki. If you're considering it, go! Much more fun, affordable, traditional, and memorable than a regular hotel or Airbnb.

Mrs. Yukari and her husband were incredibly kind. We chatted about travel and our home countries, and the owners even gave us gifts. The house and rooms had a traditional feel and were clean and cozy. We only stayed one night on our trip to Japan, but it may have been one of our best experiences there. The location is beautiful too.

Yuki told us a lot about Nagasaki, and the owners were some of the nicest people I've ever met, super friendly and kind. The house was quiet, the rooms were comfortable, and having a kitchen was really useful. They even offer free tea and toast for breakfast. I definitely recommend coming here 😊

Thank you so much, Yukari-San and Kou-San. The older couple who own the guesthouse were super friendly and helpful. It's a great option for people on a budget, with excellent service and hygienic rooms. English text is posted throughout, so communication shouldn't be a problem, and the owners speak good English for their generation. Amazing!

The rooms are comfortable and the tatami is real, though it doesn't have that tatami smell anymore. It's an old house and a really nice experience. The only difference I noticed was that the doors aren't sliding. For the price, this place can't be beat!
